Come and enjoy some yummy comfort food! Chef Matt Brunsvold will prepare a hearty, homestyle lunch of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and fresh baked bread from Young Blood Coffee Co. Top off this delicious meal with homemade pumpkin bars for dessert. You won’t want to miss this!

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 23
Square One Kitchen
1407 1st Ave N, Fargo
11 A.M. to 2 P.M.

Join us for an amazing brunch cooked from scratch by some of the fabulous kitchen crew from Spitfire Bar & Grill!

Options include:
Bistro Eggs Benedict: – Sautéed red peppers, onions, & mushrooms mixed with homemade Andouille sausage over a toasted English muffin. Topped with a 2 poached eggs and homemade Hollandaise sauce. Served with fresh fruit and seasoned Homestyle potatoes.

Biscuits and Gravy: – Homemade sausage gravy on top of fluffy buttermilk biscuits. Served with fresh fruit and seasoned Homestyle potatoes.

Vegetarian Omelet- Sautéed red peppers, onions, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, and cheddar cheese. Served with fresh fruit and seasoned Homestyle potatoes.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4
First Congregational United Church of Christ

Join us for an Italian supper prepared by Chef Leena Foo!  Dinner will include a Caesar Salad, Italian Sausage Baked Ziti, Garlic Toast, and Dessert.  We hope to see you there!

Chefs Randy Walvatene and Leena Foo will be serving a delicious lunch of chicken pot pie, soup, and a biscuit along with a refreshing fruit salad and dessert.  Be sure to come hungry!

Volunteer Chefs Kayla Pridmore from Northern Plains Sustainable Agriculture Society and Irena Gleason, an Extension Agent with Cass County, will be preparing a hearty lunch of hotdish, salad, and dessert.  Come in for lunch and leave with a nourished heart & soul!

SUNDAY, MARCH 22
Square One Kitchen

Join Volunteer Chefs Megan Lewis from Milk Made and Casey Steele from Square One Rental Kitchen & Events. This duo is creating one amazing menu that includes an egg sandwich on a homemade buttermilk biscuit, a winter vegetable soup, and a side salad. For dessert there will be a banana bread bar topped with whipped honey butter frosting!

What we do

Heart-n-Soul helps neighbors share a meal in order to foster a tight knit Fargo-Moorhead community. All are welcome, no matter their economic status. This way, our neighbors who can’t always afford to visit a restaurant can come in and enjoy a nutritious meal, no questions asked. Those who pay it forward or pay the suggested amount keep our cafe going so that those who are hungry can feel comfortable and welcomed.

We love our volunteers. You should be one.


We could never do everything we do to nourish our neighbor’s body, heart, and soul without our extraordinary volunteers. Last month alone, volunteers donated over 100 hours! But we can always use more help. How great would it feel to serve a meal to someone who may not eat anything else for the rest of the day? Or use your love of cooking to prepare that meal? There are many ways you can help as a Heart -n- Soul volunteer, from dishes, to serving, to cooking.

Groups, individuals, families, there are many opportunities. If you can’t volunteer your time, we hope you’ll join us for a meal sometime!
